iPad live — 1 hour late tonight! 9pm ET/6pm PT (2am BST) Posted: 27 Jun 2010 01:10 PM PDT Leanna’s traveling and won’t be able to join us, and Georgia, Chad, and I are going to be a tad late, so iPad live is moving 1 hour later tonight:
(We’ve also had to delay the theme music contest winner announcement by a week — huge apologies but iPhone 4 launch just knocked us silly.) We need new theme music, make us a kick-apps, copyright-free theme and you’ll win fabulous prizes! Chat with you soon! iPad live — 1 hour late tonight! 9pm ET/6pm PT (2am BST) is a story by TiPb. Official: not posting any more zany ways people are destroying iPhone 4 Posted: 27 Jun 2010 12:07 PM PDT I woke up this morning to find several more emails from people who wanted us to post the looney-toons-esque ways they’d found to destroy an iPhone 4 over the weekend. And strangely my interest level in them floated precisely around zero. If you have a spare iPhone 4 give it to charity. Or an Android user. Something. Just stop wasting them — i.e. writing them off as marketing investments leveraged against their return value as link-bait — because I’m not posting them any more. (Unless someone figures out how to shoot it with a freaking laser, feed the parts to a shark, and then see if the shark blends.) Tap Tap Radiation for iPad – app review Posted: 27 Jun 2010 06:46 AM PDT If you love Tapulous’ Tap Tap Revenge on the iPhone then it’s newer, bigger brother for the iPad, Tap Tap Radiation is something you’re going to want to check out. The core idea is the same — you listen to your favourite tunes, Tap Tap Radiation visualizes them as shiny colored circles racing towards you, and then it is up to your fingers to tap along with the beat. Tap Tap Radiation gives you 30 free tracks to choose from. Some of the free tracks you are by Serge Devant, Richard VIsson, Mos Def and premium tracks (paid) include songs by Lady Gaga and Pink. The themes, graphics and effects do a good job showing off the iPad’s larger screen and graphics power. Tap Tap Radiation is the app to get for anyone who owns a iPad and enjoys playing games and listening to music. It’s easy to pick up, relaxing and fun to play, and has three difficulty levels to help keep it challenging. Tap Tap Radiation Free [iTunes Link].

Steve Jobs: There is no iPhone 4 reception issue Posted: 27 Jun 2010 05:57 AM PDT A new email, allegedly from Steve Jobs about the iPhone 4 antenna band problems — where touching the stainless steel on the lower left side causes the signal to drop or go away completely — seems to a offer a response either curtly dismissive or perhaps… encouraging? rfbandit/Mark wrote:
Steve Jobs supposedly replied:
Now as with any and all alleged Steve Jobs customer support email, we have no way of knowing whether any individual one is real or not. But if it is… Jedi mind-trick? Cruel pun? Or a sign that Apple knows what the problem is and has a — perhaps iOS 4.0.1 powered — fix in the works? If so, it could signal a change from Apple’s last communication on the matter:

Does iPhone 4 support the iPad camera kit? Posted: 26 Jun 2010 07:22 PM PDT Does iPhone 4 support the iPad camera kit? Turns out no, at least not under iOS 4. I plugged mine in and immediately got the error you see above. Since I’ve gotten compatibility errors using other accessories in the past that turned out to work just find if I ignored said errors, I plugged in a camera to see if anything magical would happen. It didn’t. Whether or not Apple will chose to add that functionality in a future iOS software update, or if they’ve decided that, somewhere in their product differentiation matrix, iPhone is for creating photos and iPad is for consuming them via USB and SD card adapter, we’ll have to wait and see. iTunes 9.2 beta expiring June 30 Posted: 26 Jun 2010 07:00 PM PDT Just a quick reminder to developers that the iTunes 9.2 beta released back at WWDC 2010 expires on June 30 (just over 4 days from now, Cupertino time). So, if you haven’t gotten around to updating with the general availability version released week before last, put it on your todo list.
