21M iPhone Shipments for Q1 2011 Posted: 28 Dec 2010 12:22 AM PST iPhone is estimated to be shipped around 47 million units in 2010, and it is look like to grow in 2011.Taiwanese publication DigiTimes reported on Monday that Apple has raised their 1st Quarter 2011 iPhone shipment goals from 19 million units to 20-21 million units. According to the report, the first-quarter shipment goal for WCDMA iPhones has been adjusted from 13 million units to 14-15 million units, and the shipment goal for CDMA iPhones, which will be launched in North America and Asia Pacific in the first quarter, is set at 5-6 million units. Currently, iPhone 4′s working on AT&T's and other UTMS networks. However, the CDMA iPhones would work on Verizon's network if that were to pan out. China Unicom is the exclusive carrier for the iPhone in China. While this time, China Telecom is also rumored to be in talks with Apple over a CDMA iPhone, in hopes of an early 2011 release as well. |
