PwnageTool 4.3.2 is now untethered!

Posted: 24 Apr 2011 02:07 PM PDT

As you can see from the tweet above, the Dev Team has updated their popular PwnageTool to support an untethered jailbreak under iOS 4.3.2. You now have the option of using either PwnageTool or redsn0w to jailbreak iOS 4.3.2.

We have experienced some issues with jailbreaking iOS 4.3.2. Some users say they have had issues as well while others are perfectly fine. I’m personally staying on 4.2.1 for now since I have no compelling reason to upgrade.

The updated version of PwnageTool is available at the link below. It supports the following devices -

  • iPhone 3GS
  • iPhone 4 (GSM)
  • iPod touch 3G
  • iPod touch 4G
  • iPad First generation

So iPad 2 users and Verizon iPhone users need not apply. And a final note to unlockers – you should only ever use a custom IPSW when upgrading firmware. While ultrasn0w will unlock your iPhone running iOS 4.3.2, that only applies if you are running an older baseband. So never restore to a stock firmware in iTunes because that will not preserve your baseband! Check out more details and grab your download from the link below!

Can’t be bothered to mow the lawn? The My Automower app can help with that!

Posted: 24 Apr 2011 12:13 PM PDT

While sunday is often the day you mow the lawn, with a new app called My Automower, it could all become a lot less of a chore. My Automower is an app that allows you to control your lawn mower using your iPhone. The downside however is that you need a specific robotic mower from Husqvarna for this to be of any use. Once you have one of those, this little app is very clever.

Through simple SMS messaging you can send instructions that will give you complete remote access: - You'll be able to display the location of your Husqvarna Automower on
Google Maps. - Use shortcuts to send instructions and take control of your Automower. - Tell your machine when to start mowing. - Tell your Automower when stop and return for charging. - Set timers. - Check your Automower status.
Now if only you could get an app to wash the car, clean out the garage and walk the dog; life would be so much better!

T-Mobile iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, or iPhone 5?

Posted: 24 Apr 2011 06:55 AM PDT

T-Mobile iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, or iPhone 5?

9to5Mac has taken BGR‘s T-Mobile US iPhone leak and run with it, wondering out loud if it’s an iPhone 4 variant, or if it may just have an Apple A5 chipset and be one of those “iPhone 4S” advanced gaming test units, or even an early iPhone 5 prototype? (No, not this one.)

Could well be a bit of all of the above; experimental internals packed up in the existing casing to test running on T-Mobile’s network, next-gen gaming on iPhone, and how the A5 works in that type of package.

Place your own speculation in the comments below!
