AT&T has introduced new more affordable data plans so that more people can experience the benefits of the mobile Internet recently. However, many of the users still confused about the changes. Thus TUAW had a Q&A with the spokesperson of AT&T; here is part of the details:

1) The iPad will continue to offer prepaid data plans. Prepaid data is data bought on a month-to-month basis rather than a contract-based plan where you pay at the end of each month.

2) iPad users reaching their 2 GB limit under the forthcoming plan will be able to initiate a new monthly cycle on demand with a new start date.

3) iPhone users can bump up from the $15 200 MB data plan to the $25 2 GB plan without penalty as long as they initiate the change before the end of the desired billing cycle.

4) Neither on the iPad prepaid plans nor on the iPhone postpaid plans, the unused data will not roll over.

5) The changes do not affect iPhone users who are currently signed up for the $30/month plan or 2G iPhone users on the $20/month plan.

6) iPhone users can keep their unlimited iPhone plan and migrate it to new equipment to upgrade or replace the handset, and even can renew their contract with the new plan.
