Twitter for iPhone is here, what do you think? Posted: 19 May 2010 11:57 AM PDT Twitter for iPhone (aka Tweetie 3.0) is finally here and… it’s pretty much the same as before with a few interesting tweaks up front and behind the scenes. Here’s the full change list:
No new-fangled OAuth, so there will have to be an update before Twitpocalypse 2010 renders current logins inopperative. No push so you’ll still have to use a middle-app like Boxcar if you want that. But it is free and it is Twitter owned now. So what do you think? Will it be your (new?) default, go-to Twitter client? If not, why not? Motorola EQ5 Wireless Stereo Speaker for iPhone, iPad Posted: 19 May 2010 11:45 AM PDT The Motorola EQ5 Wireless Speaker for iPhone 3G/3GS and iPod Touch is one awesome Bluetooth stereo speaker setup. Looking for a good speakerphone? Need an excellent portable speaker with surprisingly good sound? This might be for you! It is currently available in the TiPb Accessory store for $99.95. I have been searching for the perfect complement to my iPhone; an external speaker that sounds great, small, portable and asks like a phone. What did I find? The Motorola EQ5 (part of the Moto Rokr brand) portable stereo Bluetooth system. You might remember I reviewed the Blueant stereo speaker in the past; I really liked it and the missing piece for me was the ability to have great sounding stereo sound. Guess what? I have found it in the Moto EQ5. Read after the break to learn more!
The Moto EQ5 is small and light. Its Dimensions are 4.6 x 2.55 x 0.59 inches; totally pocket-worthy if need be (it is almost the same size as the iPhone actually). The face of the device has the usual suspects including volume up/down and play/skip controls. The bottom of the device has a rubber grip around the edges and a built-in kickstand to prop the device to a convenient 45 degree angle. The On/Off switch is on the bottom a USB port on the left for charging and 3.5 jack for connecting to non-Bluetooth players. Oh, and let’s not forget the bass ports on both sides for some sweet sounds… I have carried this speaker with me everywhere; the car, my desk, kitchen, you name it. This device is really useful. Imagine taking a speaker base and making it portable. That is what you get with the Moto EQ5. The sound is fantastic. Not being an audiophile, I can’t find room for complaint, but some more discerning audio listeners may. For what the device is, you can’t go wrong. Of course there is the bonus of the device being wireless, and you also can answer and make phone calls with the Moto EQ5 as well. The device uses the same noise-reduction and echo-cancellation technology as found in other Motorola headsets. The battery life on this device has been stellar. I was MIA for a couple of weeks, returned to my Moto EQ5 and it worked for another 6 hours before needing a recharge. I am really trying hard to find any distinguishable take-away from this device, but it is almost perfect from every perspective. This has to be one of my favorite iPhone accessories of all time; I absolutely love it. Motorola EQ5 Wireless Stereo Speaker for iPhone, iPad is a story by TiPb. iPhone HD/iPhone 4G faceplate to come in black… and white? Posted: 19 May 2010 07:59 AM PDT Could the 4th generation iPhone HD/iPhone 4G bring Apple’s traditional white and black iPhone color options full around to the faceplate? That’s the rumor, there’s the pic above. You want? [tw.apple.pro via fscklog via MacRumors] iPhone HD/iPhone 4G faceplate to come in black… and white? is a story by TiPb. iPhone OS 4 beta 4: New wallpapers galore! Posted: 19 May 2010 05:51 AM PDT With iPhone OS 4 beta 4 Apple has brought over some of the iPad wallpapers and introduced a few new ones, all seemingly focused on livening up the home screen without being too visually distracting. Natural textures and muted patterns get an obvious focus here with stones, rocks, and textiles front and center. And yes, you can still set backgrounds independently for the lock screen and home screen. See TiPb’s full iPhone OS 4 preview and feature walkthrough for more. Gallery after the break!

And here’s another iPod touch with 2MP camera leak Posted: 19 May 2010 05:16 AM PDT Another iPod touch with a 2 megapixel camera has been leaked, this time from Tinhte in Vietnam who also brought us the second iPhone HD/iPhone 4G leak. We saw something similar just before September 2009’s iPod touch G3 announcement — sans camera — and again on eBay later. Rumors persist that Apple pulled the camera from the iPod touch at the eleventh hour, perhaps due to quality or availability of parts, and if true it stands to reason a few prototypes with camera are still floating around — it’s just amazing Apple has lost control of so many of them. And that Vietnam appears to be the latest hotspot for Apple device leaks. More pics and video after the break! AT&T internet tethering finally arriving along with iPhone OS 4? There is still no official word from AT&T but if all goes well those of you who been patiently waiting for tethering may finally get your wish. What do you think? Is tethering with iPhone OS 4 a reality or simply wishful thinking? Sound off in the comments below! AT&T internet tethering finally arriving along with iPhone OS 4? is a story by TiPb.
