Real or Really Fake? Beatles on iTunes Screen Shot Posted: 07 Sep 2009 03:45 PM PDT Every year Apple has a special music event, and every year Beatles rumors follow along with it. This time, the event date of 9/9/9, the release of Beatles Remastered on CD and Beatles Rock Band has the rumors running faster than ever. Will iTunes join the fray, or will Big Music try to make their money on physical media and games before allowing digital downloads? Current is adding fuel to the fire, however, with a purported screenshot of the Beatles being featured on iTunes — a slip of the old server, so to speak. But is it real, or just really fake? iTunes ads are easier to whip up on photoshop than lolcats, after all. Still, we’re just over a day and half from “It’s only rock and roll, but we like it“, so crazy time, it has arrived! [Thanks Glenn for the tip!] This is a story by the iPhone Blog. Posted: 07 Sep 2009 02:00 PM PDT Could the long-rumored cameras being added to the iPod touch, iPod nano, and even iPod classic have hit a snag, leading to a delay that might effect Apple’s “It’s only rock and roll but we like it” special music event planned for Wednesday? AppleInsider, citing a “person with a strong track record in predicting Apple’s upcoming product launches” (PWASTRIPAUPL), is rumoring just that:
Since the iPod touch is so similar to the iPhone, unless Apple is trying to cram the cam into too thin an enclosure, we have a hard time seeing the problem in that SKU. Whether or not the rumor is accurate, whether or not it effects all the of the iPods or just iPod nano and iPod classic, and whether or not Apple delays announcing the new iPods or simply announces them as “shipping in the future” are all, of course, unknown. With so much of the music events — and holiday shopping season — relying on the iPod lineup, however, it’s hard to imagine them letting things slip much, if at all. What say you? AT&T-Specific Overage and Voice-Mail iPhone Updates on the Horizon? Posted: 07 Sep 2009 08:59 AM PDT Apple and AT&T could be planning updates for US iPhone owners in the future, including push-notificiation powered overage alerts, to let users know when they’re close to depleting their anytime minutes, and voicemail settings to disable custom and AT&T preset greetings for both your iPhone and for calling other AT&T customers. AppleInsider, quoting “those claiming knowledge of the matter” (TCKOTM), says:
So, beleaguered AT&T iPhone users, after you get your MMS and tethering, are these something you’d be interested in? This is a story by the iPhone Blog. This feed is sponsored by The iPhone Blog Store. AT&T-Specific Overage and Voice-Mail iPhone Updates on the Horizon? | ||||||

TiPb Poll: What Will We See at “It’s only rock and roll, but we like it” Special Apple Music Event? Posted: 06 Sep 2009 09:52 PM PDT This Wednesday, September 9, Apple will present “It’s only rock and roll, but we like it“, their annual special music event that typically focuses on iPods and the iTunes ecosystem.
